I think every Gen X/ Gen Y US citizen has viewed a portion of this movie growig up on TNT and TBS late at night, dubbed in English and with some bad musical choices. This original Cantonese version is the way to watch it though. It’s a movie VASTLY superior to Police Story 2.
Jackie Chan reprises the Hong Kong police officer Chan Ka-Kui teaming up with Michelle Yeoh to stop some gangsters from doing gangster shit. But without any of the boring pseudo drama inserted in Police Story 2. Lots of more grounded action though, due to Chan starting to show his age. And lots and lots of 90s misogyny— I clearly forgot about that part of the film.
An overall classic popcorn movie!
