I think this is the first movie to make a play on the obvious joke around Uranus. A clear B-movie, there are aspects that make it a clear contender to appear on Best of the Worst, however due to the blatant adult and LGBTQIA +nature, it won’t.
A viewer’s first viewing of the film will be the best one. There’s a ton of technical faults throughout (staff appearing on reflections, miniatures made out of duct tape and aluminum foil, single mic audio, cameras sometimes on auto-focus) that’ll make you laugh out loud, but actually has acting on par for the genre. Tara Emory’s direction and writing is also relatively decent, taking cues from Doctor Who, MST3K and other pulp-sci media. Then… you get the Skinemax sex scenes… that seem forced. On second viewing, you’ll just skip past.
Give it a shot, it’s independent sci-fi!
