I just can’t get enough of Malcolm Tucker!
Another direct follow-up from the previous with a new edition to the main cast. Nicola Murray must have been representative of a politician rising in power at the rime, but functions as the UK equivalent of Julia Louis Dreyfus’s character in Veep. Her aloofness and motherly demeanor was hilarious contrast to Capaldi’s ranting and at times I felt sorry for her. To be able to evoke that kind of emotion is rare in a sitcom, and she was definitely my highlight of the series.
The improv is also at/near the peak for the series. I suggest watching one episode a day rather than binging though, as the British humor can become difficult to digest.
