An average movie with an experienced cast, put into a shitty script with a bad director and editor making a nightmare for the viewers.

This is a Liam Neeson geezer teaser costarring Joel Kinnaman, supported by Ed Harris and Vincent D’Onofrio. At a minimum this overall should have been a “C” movie. Basically an arrogant son wants to take over his father’s family business and makes a bad play. Liam Neeson is the older enforcer for the family, D’Onofrio is the detective that missed imprisoning him and Harris is the father. Basically old man John Wick.

Problem is the editing is so fucking horrible, it uses CGI transitions to camera swing between boroughs in NYC instead of doing a hard cut or fade cut. This shit ain’t Spider-Man, it’s completely out of place for this movie. Additionally Common appears as a hired assassin and… he acts the part, but is clearly miscast. The direction is bad because each of these principal actors are doing takes as if it were a police procedural.

Swing and a miss.

First screened January 11, 2025 on Netflix.
