Lots of lows, with a standard amount of highs.
Each season of Rick and Morty strays further from the core storyline which finally gets explained during the season SPOILERS it’s destabilizing the Central Finite Curve. Why oh why did it take this long to establish the source of the multiverse? Dunno. It explains a lot of the side-stories that happened since Season 3 though! Also, more SPOILERS this season effectively confirms Rick’s backstory is replacing an emotional loss with a family that really isn’t his.
With that synopsis out of the way, this season had personally, two of the worst episodes of the series (Forgetting Sarick Mortshall, Gotron Jerrysis Rickvangelion), which brings the overall grading down.
Now, waiting on Season 6 to appear on HBO Max… before the replacement of Justin Roiland.
