“Did you get that thing I sent you?”
First aired on the original Adult Swim block back in 2000, I never fully watched a full episode of the series. I was familiar with the quotes and memes from advertisements and samples from the MF DOOM collab The Mouse and the Mask.
Similar in production to Sealab 2021, Space Ghost Coast to Coast and The Brak Show, Harvey Birdman samples frames and characters animated from classic Hanna-Barbera cartoons, into a situational sitcom. The initial episodes were rigidly structured and eventually evolved into a magical improvisational comedy by the end of the season (also similar to Sealab and Aqua Teen Hunger Force).
That’s the only reason behind the B grading. The first season of the show was an exercise in self-discovery.
