So Season 3 of Doc Martin continues directly from the previous two seasons. However, this time around, there’s more of an escalation between the relationship that Louisa and Martin have. Unfortunately, their personalities continue to clash like mixing oil with water.
Additionally, the special guests in this season were more or less annoying, and not really the kind of characters from the previous two seasons that complimented and showed how good the Doctor’s bedside manner was.
I think in addition that some of the main actors were off for the season. It was easy to notice. The receptionist character was provided a substitute (Pauline, played by Katherine Parkinson). I believe this because she was doing The IT Crowd at the time. Also, Joe Absalom was also missing for three episodes, unknown as to why that happened. Hopefully, the show continues in the next season to previous heights.
