Political thriller similar to Chief of Staff or Stranger, but with older and less charismatic cast members. I don’t want to sound ageist either, but the average age of the cast is like 55.
Biggest problem is the plot and the pacing, as always. It fell apart around the halfway mark. Best identified by a flashback within a flashback within a flashback. 2 fucking episodes where half of the runtime was flashbacks because there wasn’t enough meat the bones for the story. Unfortunate, because Kim Hee-ae (김희애) put on a very good performance as the opposition leader and I actually hated her while watching. Similar level of distaste that viewers originally had with Kai Winn (Louise Fletcher) in Deep Space 9.
